Myself Shivam Yadav I am from Allahabad. I belong to a nuclear family. My father is a central government employee and my mother is a house-wife. My younger sister is preparing for her MBA entrance exams. We are a close-knit family. I did my engineering from tier-3 college. After passing out from college I moved to Delhi to get a job. At that time I knew Java as a programming language. I got an internship which I did. It was hard to find a job in a company that works on java in Delhi at the startup level. Since I was fresher I wanted to work in a startup. Then people suggested me to move to Bangalore since Banglore is known for the IT hub of India. When I came to banglore then I realized that startup in Bangalore is working in Javascript tech stack and Python. Then I started searching for coaching classes and even online courses to learn Javascript and realized that they are just selling you their course package they just don’t care about skill development.
I came to know about AttainU from facebook ads. There are a few things which really attracted me.
1. I liked the fact that they work on ISA(Income Share Agreement) which is that you only pay when you get a job and make a minimum of 5 lakh CTC.
2. This is an online Bootcamp kind of course, so I can do this course in the comfort of my home. I need not travel, which will save me a lot of time and money.
3. The course structure was also good. The course contained the skills which the industry wanted and it was very relevant to the current IT industry. It is a full-stack web development course, where we were introduced to the latest technologies like JavaScript, React, MongoDB, Node.js, etc.
I was in the phoenix batch our instructor was Ansal he has 10+ years of experience in the software industry. Besides being a good instructor he is a good and honest human being for which I really admire him. I really enjoyed learning from him. In a self-paced course on youtube, the probability of losing motivation is very high whereas here the course is Live and Instructor-led, and continuous interaction with the instructor and other batch mates kept me motivated throughout the duration of the course. I also had the opportunity to become a Teaching Assistant, which in turn helped me improve my knowledge. I will miss those group studies which I use to do online with my other batch mates.
During the course, we started getting calls from companies. We were given separate study material for preparing for interview In starting, I was not able to crack interviews faced a lot of rejection but over the course of time, I become good at my skills and knowledge and finally got selected in a company and accepted the offer and was the first student to get placed through AttainU.
I am very excited to start my new journey as a Software Engineer. I will use this opportunity to increase my software development knowledge since I like to build a product and want to do a startup for which I need industry exposure.
